Some features use browser storage to remember choices. Other features connect to services that process information.
Appearance preferences
When preferences are allowed in Cookie Settings, your chosen light or dark theme is saved in your browser’s local storage so it can be restored on a later visit.
Language and translation
When preferences are allowed, Yavqo Translate uses a third-party translation service that processes page content. The language choice appears in the URL and is remembered in a translation cookie. Select English to return to the original page.
Country and language suggestion
When preferences are allowed and before the language suggestion has been shown, the browser contacts ipapi.co to estimate the country from your IP address and suggest a language. This lookup shares your IP with that service. If the lookup is unavailable, the suggestion uses your browser language instead. The site does not save the IP or country for this feature; it stores a browser flag so the suggestion is only shown once. Clearing browser storage resets that flag.
Notifications
For signed-out visitors who allow preferences, notification state is stored locally in the browser. This lets the interface remember changes to the notification list.
